Our story

Let me introduce myself, I'm Adriana and I "grew up in the factory" alongside my dad, who was busy in

Shoemaking for over 40 years. After completing my studies and travels, I joined the family business, developing a new production project more in tune with my ideals: PRIVATO, the brand with a kind heart and a green soul.

During the long start-up process, I reflected extensively on the brand's mission and objectives. Knowing the processes and costs of an Italian manufacturing company well, I couldn't understand the lack of a sustainable brand accessible to everyone. From the very beginning, I developed the goal of making vegan and sustainable fashion no longer a luxury for the few, but a truly feasible choice.

To achieve this goal, I realized I had to avoid any unnecessary additional costs that could affect the final sales price (such as costs for communication agencies, distribution, logistics, etc.) by taking care of everything in-house together with my wonderful team, strongly believing that a fair sales price was far more important than the expansion and awareness of the brand itself (at the expense of customers).

I therefore decided that I would put our family experience as producers at the service of everyone, in full respect of our ethical principles.

The factory

Every PRIVATE-branded item sold on this shop is designed and curated in-house, from the first prototype to the final sample, all the way to production. We maintain direct contact with our suppliers to ensure maximum control over our entire production chain.

We've chosen to dispel the myth that sustainability necessarily means high prices, and we've decided to actively work to serve all budgets. Our mission is to focus sales on what's essential for human well-being and to make production a job opportunity, not exploitation. Privato is also a PETA-approved brand. By purchasing our products, you choose to wear vegan or sustainable clothing.

Craftsmanship and waste recovery

For us, craftsmanship means exclusivity. That's why our shop also features a showcase of artisanal tailoring, where you can purchase unique pieces like bags and scrunchies, crafted and sewn by Apulian seamstresses using fabric scraps saved over our 40 years of business.

Our multi-brand project

PRIVATO was born as an ethical fashion project and today it opens to the future by becoming a multi-brand vegan store.
Alongside our original creations, there is space for brands and producers who share our same values: respect for animals, transparency, and sustainability.
